A report published in the journal Nature Human Behaviour on October 25th, 2021, revealed the discovery of 478 ceremonial complexes in the Mexican states of Tabasco and Veracruz which are thought to have been of cosmic importance to Mesoamerican civilizations over 3,000 years ago. The ceremonial complexes can’t be seen with the human eye but can be detected with lidar scanning technology.
